Gordon P. Brandle, C.E.T.
Gordon has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for 24 years. His experience includes design, engineering and project management of all aspects of modular oil field equipment, including gas sweetening plants, LPG recovery plants, dehydration units, line heaters, oil treaters, stabilization plants, pigging packages and specialty oil field units. Prior to that, Gordon had 5 year experience in gas compression fabrication project management and engineering/drafting on packages up to 1200 HP.
Gordon is currently the ‘Manager of Projects’ and co-ordinates, assists and advises other project managers at ALCO on their projects, as needed, as well as managing and engineering individual projects himself. Gordon has been in the oil and gas industry for 29 years and has managed and engineered all the types of facilities that are required in the gas and oil industry.
Dr. M. (Magdi) Ghobrial, P. Eng, PhD - Vice President – Engineering and Quality Control
Magdi has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for over 14 years and has over 30 years of local and international experience in mechanical engineering, pressure equipment design, structural engineering, quality control, teaching, research, and academic initiatives.
As the Vice President – Engineering and Quality Control at ALCO, Magdi is responsible for all pressure equipment and structural designs as well as all aspects of ALCO’s quality control. ALCO employees involved in engineering and quality control rely on Magdi for technical guidance and mentorship.
Magdi’s education includes a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Bradford University in England. As well, Magdi sits on a number of provincial regulatory and professional boards.
D. (Dave) Hawryluk – Manager - Manufacturing
Dave is the longest serving employee at ALCO Gas & Oil with over 40 years of service. Dave’s experience in fabrication and manufacturing is both extensive as well as diverse. Dave’s experience at ALCO has spanned a generation and has taken him abroad on many occasions to ensure the successful completion of international projects.
ALCO relies on Dave to manage the fabrication and manufacturing operations in ALCO’s world class facilities. No matter what the complexity, when fabrication begins on a project, it is Dave and his expertise that ensures that the project is completed in a competent, safe, and timely manner.
C.(Chris) Kingston – Manager Purchasing/Warehouse
Chris has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for over 10 years and has over 30 years of experience in a fabrication and manufacturing environment.
As the Purchasing Manager at ALCO, Chris provides the day to day direction and management of ALCO’s purchasing group.
Chris’s extensive experience in gas processing equipment enables him to fit in as an integral member of ALCO’s team to ensure that purchasing and expediting is done with a best for service and best in time delivery approach.
Chris’s education includes extensive post-secondary coursework in purchasing, logistics, and expediting.
Leslie Loken - Accounting Administrator
Leslie has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for over 19 years and has over 30 years of experience in accounting, financial management and administration.
As the Accounting Administrator, Leslie is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of ALCO Gas & Oil.
Leslie has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.
Gary Lukawesky, RET - Senior Vice President - Applications and Engineering
Gary has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for over 30 years and has over 35 years of experience in engineering design, drafting, project management, shop management, fabrication and manufacturing.
Gary is Vice President of the Applications group which is responsible for the process design, estimating and preparation of ALCO quotations.
Gary’s education includes a degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Engineering Design and Drafting, Journeyman Welding Certificate and B-Pressure Welding certificate.
Matt Bang, P.Eng – Senior Process Engineer
Matt joined ALCO Gas & Oil in 2008 with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
Matt is the Senior Process Engineer within the Applications group which is responsible for the process design, estimating and preparation of ALCO quotations. During his time at ALCO he has designed various types of plants such as gas sweetening, refrigeration, deep cut LPG recovery, fractionation, TEG dehydration, molecular sieve dehydration and sulphur recovery. Along with the process design aspect Matt is also responsible for assisting the customer with any field operation changes and troubleshooting.
Ken Pelletier - Executive Vice President
Mr. Pelletier has been with ALCO Gas & Oil for over thirty-five (35) years and has over forty-five (45) years of experience in Marketing (domestic and international), design, manufacturing and operations.
As the Executive Vice President, Ken is responsible for the overall management of ALCO Gas & Oil. Ken provides guidance and sets priorities to ensure that ALCO continues to be competitive while providing a superior product in a timely manner.
Michael Wagner, B. Comm - Vice President – Sales
Mike has been with ALCO for over 12 years and has 20 years of experience in providing process equipment to refining, gas processing, and oil treating.
As Vice President – Sales, Mike is responsible for marketing to Canadian and American EPC and owners. Mike is the primary point of contact during the FEED stage, the quotation stage and project initiation.
Mike’s education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, advanced sales training from Proctor and Gamble, and Introduction to Natural Gas Processing (SAIT)
